I was scheduled to have a coffee Meet Up today at 8am.
No one showed up.
I made my order and continued with my day, but I did have quite a bit to think about on my way to the office.
Sometimes, no one shows up for you.
When I was younger this would have sent me on a wave of emotions, sad they let me down, angry because it was rude.
Today it was just something that happened.
No one showed up, and it was ok.
Harvard did a Case Study on Ryan Serhant (Yes, that guy). The it reviewed his use of time management and in an interview he said this, loosely " I view time as currency. If someone wasted 15 mins of my time and I let it ruin my entire day it is the same as if I had $1000 in my pocket and I wasted $15. I am not going to burn the $985 I have left, I'm going to be excited I have $985 left to use."
So no one showed up.
At least I have the rest of the day to be awesome.
Love,
V
